Meet Dr. Irene
Born and raised in Northern California, Dr. Irene excelled in dance, cheerleading, and gymnastics. Following an automobile accident, she developed an early interest in health and the human body. Following this incident, she had taken a significant fall from a cheer stunt gone wrong during her senior year in high school, which led to her first chiropractic adjustment. This allowed her the chance to continue to compete and perform in her sports and activities the remainder of her senior year and piqued her interest in health and science even further.
Dr. Irene earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Sonoma State University, California, with the idea of applying to doctorate programs for physical therapy following graduation. In the meantime, she decided to work as a physical therapy aide in a private clinic after graduation while applying to schools. She also continued to dance competitively through injuries, but physical therapy treatment was no longer helping and she started losing interest in the health field. Through her personal healing journey, she rediscovered chiropractic again. From physical therapy, she made the huge career shift and applied to chiropractic school.
Dr. Irene has studied a variety of techniques and modalities at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. It was here that she had the opportunity to volunteer and serve on several mission trips to nations such as India, Indonesia, and Mexico. These events shaped her belief that chiropractic is not limited to the status quo and that the body is capable of organically expressing health to its full potential. She graduated from Life West with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and accreditation from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In addition to California, she has received her chiropractic license in the state of Washington. She has worked as a coverage doctor in a number of clinics that specialize in Personal Injury, Pregnancy and Pediatrics, and Wellness. Dr. Irene is ecstatic to be able to provide chiropractic care and coverage services to California and Washington!
